Ice Breaker Resources wouldn’t be the company it is today without the great team of people we’re lucky enough to work alongside each day. We work really hard for our clients so that they can have a great life and career, and we can say the same for ourselves. For as hard we work, we also believe in the importance of making time for some fun along the way!

We asked a few of our team members some questions to find out what it’s really like working at Ice Breaker Resources. See their answers below!

Butch Edlinger, Managing Director

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources?

12 years

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role.

No day is the same, every day brings its own challenges and rewards.  Each day I chat with clients, candidates, our recruiting staff and leadership.

If you had to describe Ice Breaker Resources in three words, what would they be?

Committed to winning.

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR?

The flexibility and ability to run my own desk and earn my desired income.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it?

So many from the early days.  Traveling to conferences and trips across the country are always memorable.

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources? 1 ½ years

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role. Cold call, research, build and establish relationships to hand off to the recruiters/project managers, identify talent, consult executives in career progression/mergers/acquisitions, shift gears quickly between projects.

If you had to describe Ice Break Resources in three words, what would they be? Pushing limits and boundaries.

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR?  Finding solutions for clients’ “problems”.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it? Weekly lunches with team members.

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources?

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role.

A day in the life of my role is learning and being a student. Learning about people, their backgrounds, what motivates them, and how their lives can be changed.

If you had to describe Ice Breaker Resources in three words, what would they be?

Forward-Thinking, Goal-Centered, Down-to-Earth.

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR? 

My favorite aspect of working at IBR is the opportunity that is afforded for me to reach new compensation heights professionally.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it? 
My favorite memory thus far was my first week of onboarding. Lunch was on IBR for the first week and I like to eat!

Mallorie Longo, Associate Director

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources?

Over one year

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role. 

My typical day in short is, building relationships with candidates/clients to help create solutions to their problems and desires.

If you had to describe Ice Break Resources in three words, what would they be?

Knowledgeable, Compassionate, Real

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR?

My team, they are my/we are each other’s biggest cheerleaders and coaches. Every day I can expect for them to help me overcome obstacles and give me that “atta girl” when it’s needed most. Our culture here is untouchable.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it?

Our team outing at The Longvue Club. It was great to bond with my team outside of a work setting and still be able to speak about our goals inside and outside of the organization.

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources?

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role.

I spend my day reaching out to and connecting with top talent in the commercial real estate world. Every day I learn something new.

If you had to describe Ice Break Resources in three words, what would they be?

Entrepreneurial. Driven. Dynamic.

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR?

The culture at IBR is extremely positive and encouraging. There is always someone to turn to for help (which is crucial for a newbie like me), and there is a strong focus on career development, so you always feel like you’re able to progress.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it?

Anytime Wes breaks out his famous dance moves on a Friday.

Tracy Anderson, Associate Director

How long have you been a part of Ice Breaker Resources?

2 months 

Briefly describe a day-in-the-life of your role.

A typical day involves some training, mentoring, or team building.  There’s always a meeting or two to develop project strategies or update progress on deadlines and goal achievements.  And the rest of each day is spent communicating with real estate professionals on behalf of our clients.
If you had to describe Ice Break Resources in three words, what would they be?

Challenging, fun, rewarding

What’s your favorite aspect or perk of working at IBR?

I like the continuous learning that is infused right into the daily routine, a way of life.
Do you have a favorite memory from your time at IBR? What is it?

It’s early yet.  But I would say my favorite memory so far is the recognition from the team for a job well done, the MVP award.
